Soooo Fed Up

I have been having trouble with my eyesight for a couple of months now, don't know if some of you will remember me going for a sight test or not. Anyway, the sight test came back ok, but I've still been worrying myself over it as my sight just didn't feel right if you know what I mean.
Well, the other day I realised that my glasses were coming apart at the joint over the nose, and because of this my glasses aren't sitting properly on my face, leading to the strange sight.
So I talked to DH about it who agreed I needed to get some new glasses ordered before these broke, or I'd be in trouble. You see I am very short sighted and only have contact lenses for socialising etc, they aren't up to the task for close work.
I knew they would be expensive as I have to get special lenses made as they would be really thick otherwise. And because of that they take a while to make.
Anyway, my glasses broke at work yesterday morning, can't be fixed, can't get new frames for the lenses to go in, and will take at least 2 weeks for new ones to come. They are going to cost at least £250, probably a good bit more, which we haven't got. And in the meantime I've got to wear my contact lenses everyday that aren't my correct prescription, and which make my eyes sore.
And to top it all off I don't think I can stitch with my lenses in....
I just want to go home and go to bed and cry and then sleep until my new glasses arrive.

sending you lots of love and {{hugs}} i hope they treat it as a matter of great urgency and you don't have to wait the full 2 weeks. Take care, thinking of you

Couldn't the optician do a touch up job on your own ones until your new ones arrive?

I hope you get them soon.
