Have enjoyed stitching on Cabin In The Woods this week, but don't feel to have made enough progress, and to be honest I can't be bothered right now to dig out fabric and threads for the San Man SAL, so I'm going to carry on with Cabin for my two screaming days over the weekend, then move onto my next slot on Monday as planned, my biscornu.
This week has been awful at work, so really glad it's the weekend, although I wish I could just veg and stitch for the weekend but DH has plans for us lol.
I've been badly wanting to have some retail therapy and treat myself to something stitchy, but I need instant gratification so the only thing that would work would be a HAED chart, and non are screaming loudly enough at the moment.
My advent exchange box from Tranquil Stitches is screaming at me very very loudly, even though the box is closed lol. I gave in and got them all out of the box again last night because I was so fed up, and put them in number order, but was careful to barely touch or look at each parcel except for the number on it, so I wouldn't spoil any surprises for myself lol. I so can't wait til the 1st when all the fun will start. Everyone is going to post what they get each day on the BB, which is going to be so exciting, I'm like a kid waiting for christmas! hehe

Terrible Day
I'll be glad when today is over...
Started off at 4am when I woke up with a blinding headache, got worse at 5.15am when DD woke up screaming after a bad dream and ended up in our bed, and then hit rock bottom when everything that could go wrong at work did. Would love to just go to bed now and sleep til all the bad stuff goes away, but no such luck.
Am making slow progress on Cabin In The Woods and enjoying it, the colours are really calming and it's great seeing the trees appearing before my eyes.
I saw a few of the part 2 WIP pics on San Man of the members only SAL yesterday and it's made me want to do it even more. So after requesting my copy of part 2 I gave it some more thought and I think, if I can find some suitable fabric, that I might start it at the weekend when I have my Sat & Sun screaming days.

Trying Yet Again!
I have decided to give a Rotation one last ditched attempt lol.
After giving a lot of thought to what I want to stitch in 2007 I have realised that to achieve my goals I'm going to have to get myself organised. So stitching just as the mood takes me and spending far too much time on the pc is not going to work.
The problem I have before with a weekly rotation was I missed certain projects that I really wanted to work on.
So I have decided to try doing a rotation where I stitch each slot Mon-Fri inclusive, and on Sat and Sun I can stitch on what I want, be that carrying on with a certain slot for another couple of days, starting early on the next slot, stitching for an exchange, or just listening to something that's screaming.
So starting tomorrow I'm going to try as follows until the end of the year, and see how it goes. The wip's I've chosen are the ones I've picked that I want to get finished in 2007, except for Cabin which I just love at the moment, so I figured a head start would be a good thing.
Week 1 - Cabin In The Woods
Week 2 - Biscornu
Week 3 - Tomboy QS
Week 4 - Eeyore's Butterfly Latch Hook Rug
Week 5 - Cabin In The Woods
Week 6 - Celtic Autumn Alternative Colours
I'll decide what to stitch on a weekend when it arrives, and see how it goes.
Wish me luck, because if this doesn't work there's no hope for me with a rotation! lol

Whoohoo!!! Happy Dance Time!!!
Well, I finally got there, I've finished the M Designs 2006 Tree!
This is stitched over 1 on 28ct beige fabric with a gold opalescence to it, using Carries Creations floss plus a selection of beads. I didn't know until I got to the beading what I was going to do, but on looking through my bead selection I decided to go a bit mad and use a selection and not follow the chart lol. I'm really pleased with the result actually and this it looks very christmassy.
So now I can go back to Cabin In The Woods guilt free!
After reading in Fudgey's blog about her plans for her 2007 stitching it got me thinking as well, and I asked Sally for her thoughts lol. She laughed hehehe.
So I think I'm going to have a look through my list of stash over the next few days and see if I can come up with a list of things I'd like to stitch or at least start stitching in 2007. I will put the list on here once it's up and running a bit for all to see and laugh at my high expectations of myself.
I do know that I definitely want to finish my HAED Tomboy QS in 2007, and do another M Designs Tree as that seems to have become a tradition for me over the last couple of years, but other than that have no idea yet, although I'd ideally like to get another longstanding WIP finished as well.

I Need To Stitch!
Why is it when you don't want to stitch on something you will do anything other than get on with it lol?!
I need to finish the M Designs 2006 Tree before I move back onto Cabin In The Woods, but I just don't want to so I've been avoiding stitching. Some of you would probably say just stitch on Cabin and forget the tree, but I can't let myself. I need to finish the tree so I can get it finished into an ornament for christmas. I know a few evenings work on it and it will be finished, but does that make me get on with it?! Nope.
So I'm going to make myself get off the pc tonight and stitch on it if it's the last thing I do! The sooner it's done the sooner I can get back to Cabin and stitch to my heart's content on it.

Here Goes!
Well, after being sick of MSN Spaces for ages and hardly posting there at all because it was such a pain, plus it seeming like hardly anyone was reading or commenting on it, I decided to have a go here.
I'm still in play mode with it at the moment so those who do read it will probably see lots of changes in the new few days/weeks whilst I get it like I want it, but here's hoping that now I'll be inclined to blog more often.
I've managed to add a few lists and work out how to add links etc, but not sure about putting pics in posts of wips etc, so we'll see how that goes.
I was also talking to Sally earlier, who is the one that convinced me to try a new blog really, and she was talking about blogrolling? so you are informed when anyone posts on their blog. I need to find out how to do that so I can keep up with everyone! If anyone can help point me in the right direction please holler!
